Microsize VoIP
I have an opportunity to invest in a new VoIP developer - they already have a Voice Voip which works and looks good. They have a videophone which is currently very basic but very fast. The speeds seem very high:
For 24 bit RGB raw frame colour @ 176x144 (default typical) with a frame size of 76032 bytes per frame (YUV 50688 bytes for a full YUV video frame), they claim full motion video at only 150 to 200 bytes per frame which seems to translate to 6kbytes per second at 30fps.
They seem to be claiming that they can technically transmit up to 8 frames per IP packet.
Seems to me that they are worth considering. What do people think? Is the transmission size alone enough!
They are claiming to have webphone, mobile cellular phone downloads etc and to be ready to launch in February 2008
