Ascent One-Telephony is a completely customizable Internet Telephony (VoIP) Solutions & Services Platform for Resellers, Service Providers, Entrepreneurs or any organization or individual looking to offer VoIP services to Callshops, Cyber Cafes, Call Centres, BPOs, Enterprise, Residential, SOHO market segments through IP devices like Cisco Linksys PAP2, Audiocodes, Cisco, Quintum, Grandstream and others.

Benchmarks - We have over 300 resellers, of it's service, worldwide and at any given point of time we manage more than 1000 concurrent calls of direct retail VoIP traffic through our high-end VoIP network. Collectively, Ascent Telecom, manages over 10 million minutes of direct “retail VoIP” traffic per month. We have, in our Hosted Network, over 20 Hardware high-end servers secured through hardware firewalls. The whole network architecture is devised to do load sharing, load balancing, redundancy and backups. The network is connected through Tier 1 redundant IP connectivity at the backend.

Background -
• Year 2000 - Ascent Telecom started off in year 2000 by developing a customized Telecom Billing Software for TDM based Long Distance (Dial Direct) & Callback Services. The OSS (Billing Software) worked by getting integrated with the Switch (say Lucent Excel Switch) and used to cater to all the support system needs of Telecom Service providers. The OSS platform also catered well to both wholesale as well as Retail set of services following Agents & reseller Models.

• Year 2003 – Ascent graduated to VoIP Billing Software Development that worked by getting integrated with Cisco range of Media gateways thus enabling Prepaid Calling card Services in VoIP.The VoIP Billing Software used to follow Radius protocol (AAA –Authentication, Authorization & Accounting) in interacting with Cisco Media gateways. The VoIP Billing Software platform also interacted with other Media Gateways like Quintum. Ascent used to sell the VoIP Billing Software to VoIP Service Providers.

• Year 2005 – With change in market scenarios, we shifted towards offering our Billing Capabilities on lease or say rent rather than selling. In the same regards, we setup our VoIP Billing Software in a co-location and along with that we also setup the Softswitch, Media Gateway, Radius Servers, IVR servers. This whole set of components were setup as one network connected on IP thus becoming a Hosted Softswitch & Billing Services setup.

• Year 2006 – Ascent did tie-ups with Tier 1 carriers at the backend (for clear high quality call termination) thus completing the VoIP network & also brought in the Multi-Level Reseller based Hosted Private Labeled Softswitch & Billing Platform. Multi-Level Private Labeled model eliminated any restriction, whatsoever, on penetration of these services in any part of the world till any extent.

• Year 2007 – Today, through our Hosted VoIP Network: o We have more than 300 resellers (Service providers) worldwide in our network. o We cater to resellers & customers in over 22 countries worldwide. o We manage more than 10 million minutes of Retail traffic per month o We manage more than 1000 Concurrent Calls of purely & direct Retail Traffic (excluding Call Centers, Wholesale or any such bulk traffic)

• We have a setup of 20 high-end hardware servers, behind hardware firewalls connected with Tier 1 IP bandwidth at backend, in our network.

WHAT WE PROVIDE?

Hosted VoIP Softswitch & Billing Platform - We provide the complete backend infrastructure (including hardware, software, bandwidth, power connectivity etc) for offering VoIP services. We call this as “Hosted” or “Managed” Softswitch & Billing services. It may also be called as Hosted VoIP Platform. We offer this platform to Resellers & Service providers for them to resell these VoIP services under their own brand name. The Resellers & Service providers do not require any hardware or software rather they would be given a web interface, login id and password for them to login and manage their whole business. This web interface is the interface for the Hosted Softswitch & Billing platform.

We provide HOSTED VoIP SOFTSWITCH & BILLING under following modes:

Shared Hosted VoIP Softswitch & Billing - We offer a complete end-to-end VoIP Network to Reseller / Service providers (referred to as Customers) on a per minute basis whereby the Resellers / Service providers do not need to buy any equipment (hardware or software). It's a pure "Hosted" service that is completely Hosted & Managed by Ascent Telecom. Resellers / Service Providers are provided with a web interface login ID and Password whereby they can manage their whole VoIP Services business through web.

Dedicated Hosted VoIP Softswitch & Billing

Ascent Telecom offers to setup a complete end-to-end VoIP Network (including hardware, software and bandwidth) for it's customers (Reseller / Service providers). the proposition is as good as buying the whole VoIP network except that here you don't need to "buy" it rather only need to signup with us and pay on per minute basis per month. Under this proposition, we would setup a complete dedicated hardware servers (Firewall, Intel Servers, Switch etc), Software (Softswitch, radius, IVR, Centralized Billing) and Co-location (Internet Bandwidth, Power connectivity, network integration). All this infrastructure would be dedicated for your traffic and your business and would not be shared by any other customer in any way.

VoIP Private Labeled Reseller Program

A VoIP service that lets you become a reseller and helps you to resell the VoIP services in the market under your name and as per your desired rates. Resellers are provided with a secure Reseller ID and Password using which they can login to the reseller panel web interface and manage the VoIP services - PC to Phone, Calling cards, Callshops and Device to Phone. Whole VoIP network at the backend (including all hardware, software, bandwidth) is hosted and managed by Ascent Telecom and we provide dedicated online 24x7 support to our customers. We also provide the call termination through our exclusive tie-ups with Tier 1 carriers and we provide the complete wholesale rate sheet to the Resellers for them to add their desired margins and resell further under their own name.

OUR HOSTED VoIP SOFTSWITCH & BILLING platform supports following services:

  • Mobile VoIP Service
- Mobile VoIP (popularly knows as mVoIP) is an innovative & revolutionary method that allows callers to make VoIP international calls using their existing Mobile Phones (GSM / CDMA). This is anrevolutionary technology that gives a big leap in to the future whereby the callers will utilize the low cost calltermination yet without requiring any additional equipment. Rather they continue to do so using their existingmobile handsets! The mobile handset should be internet enabled supporting either Wi-Fi or GPRS connection and your mobile service provider must be providing the internet connectivity on your mobile connection to allowthis. As a Reseller, you would be able to manage and provide this service under your own brand name just likeour other services like PC to Phone, Calling cards, Device to Phone & Callshops. You would be able to manage all these services from the centralized reseller panel. The callers would be able to hear their current balance bysimply hearing an IVR and would also be able to recharge their account with the help of recharge couponsavailable with their providers.

  • PC to Phone Service
- PC to Phone Service is the most known form of calling service around the world. Thecaller requires a computer (equipped with internet connectivity) on which the PC to Phone Dialer (Technicallycalled as Softphone) can be installed. The Softphone is a software that has an interface similar to a telephone. Ithas a keypad to input numbers (numbers are input using the computer keyboard), textboxes to input the AccountID + PIN, Dial and Disconnect buttons and various other features that are required by the caller to make call.Normally, callers download the softphone from web, use the Account ID + PIN (that they bought) and then usethe softphone to make a call from their computer.

  • Callshops Service
[/b]- Callshops are the public booths where callers can walk, make a call and pay the money.Callshops are very prevalent in various parts of the world and also called by various names like Cafes, Cybercafes, Public Booths, Calling Booths, ISD/STD/PCO, CallingShops, Internet Shops, Calling Centers, Telecenters etc. Callshop booths have standard IP Device that is connected to the telephone instrument as well as isconfigured with the Softswitch Server in order to provide dial tone. The cualler walks in and picks the receiver of the telephone connected to the IP Device and on hearing the dial tone he dials the destination number. Thesystem connects the call and keeps a track of the call and generates the CDR after the call is disconnected.
  • Calling Card Service
- Calling Card Service is one of the most popular service used by retail customers. Callersdial a telephone number (Local Access Number or Toll-Free Number) to access the IVR and then input their Account ID + PIN for AAA (Authentication, Authorization,Accounting) followed by Destination Number. The system then connects the call to the desired destination number and communication starts.

  • Device to Phone Service
- Device to Phone service can be used to offer Long Distance calling through VoIP toResidential/Enterprise/SOHO segment. Various potential segments where such service can be offered are -Residences, Residential Colonies, Hotels, Travel Houses, Export Houses, Any kind of organizational setup, AnyEnterprise. All that nees to be done is to put the device (say Linksys PAP2) at their premises and configure it withour Hosted Softswitch platform. WHAT DO YOU GET FROM ASCENT TELECOM?

Web Interface You require ONLY web interfaces and no need to buy any equipment hardware or software or anything in order to use Hosted services. Hosted Service –the phrase itself says that it is hosted and managed by the provider (in this case us)

• You get a unique Login ID and Password (just like an email account) and you can login to this web interface at anytime from anywhere. This web interface is called as your Reseller Panel and acts as the “Admin” interface for you whereby you can manage everything related to your VoIP business.

• You get similar web interfaces for the accounts that you create, the resellers you create, the agents you create and the customers you create in the system. Each one of all of these entities can login using their own unique ID and password from the web interfaces.

Dedicated 24x7 Online Support

• We provide dedicated 24x7 online support through MSN & Yahoo Messengers to all our resellers & service providers.
• We provide emergency Mobile Phone support to our resellers & service providers in case of criticality.

WHAT YOU NEED FROM OUTSIDE?

For Callshops & Device to Phone Services – IP Devices like Cisco Linksys PAP2, Cisco ATA, Grandstream,Audiocodes, Quintum etc are normally used to offer “Callshops” & “Device to Phone” Services. These devices are very readily available from wholesalers, distributors or retailers across the world and can be readily shipped anywhere. You only would be required to do some settings through the web interfaces of these devices and suchsettings would be provided by us to you and proper instructions would be given. NOTE: These devices are required for the 2 services named ‘Callshops” & “Device to Phone”. These devices work with the Hosted setup.

For Calling cards Service – You would need to procure the Access Number from a 3rd party provider. This Access Number might be a Local Access Number or Toll-Free Number or International Toll-Free Number. We would play an active part in integrating the calls from the access numbers to our hosted platform for you. Rest everything is provided by us through our hosted platform.

For PC to Phone Services – You do not need anything at all. You get everything from us

For Mobile VoIP Services – The Caller requires an application like Fring to be downloaded on their handset likeNokia N70. This application would be configured with our settings that are provided by us. Rest everything is provided by us.
