Default Really want to know Advantages and disadvantages of a VoIP service

I want to share my experience with the people who are looking for a new and cheap internet telephony service provider (ITSP). Hope this could help you.

Recently I found a company that provides the Voice over IP (VoIP) service in very reasonable price and good service. The low rate for long distance call and unlimited call in Canada and USA is often the main reason to choose Acanac as a telephony system ( Acanac High Speed Internet. Low Cost DSL and VOIP Service ). Providing advance integrated services such as: ID caller, Call waiting, Call forwarding, Voice mail etc. and also mobility are other advantages. Individuals can simply connect their IP phone or their computer to the Internet and start talk on the phone, anywhere and anytime (residential service for 10$ per month with 30 days money back satisfaction guarantee is a good choice).

On the other hand, the VoIP also has its disadvantages. The first disadvantage of the VoIP is that it is a new technology. It has not yet reached the level of redundancy of the traditional telephone system. As a result, the long-term benefits and risks are not yet known. The Reliability and quality of the telephony system with VoIP wholly relies on the reliability and quality of the Internet connection. There are some restrictions to use the VoIP telephony system for fax (it is not fully supported specially if you want to use the fax/modem on your PC). You should pay for whole 12 months at the beginning of your contract. The only thing that bother me is that with Acanac , recently you can not keep your current phone number. Hope they can change this policy again.

Overall, these disadvantages are not significant enough for me to hamper its ability to compete with the traditional telephone system (Bell Canada and pay 35 $ for similar service). If you have a stable and high speed Internet connection you are safe you can start it right now : Acanac High Speed Internet. Low Cost DSL and VOIP Service.

Good Luck !

Afshin
